State Of The Studio September 2025
Welcome back to another State of the Studio post, where we review all the happenings and what we’re currently working on. June was a busy month for us, and we have plenty of projects nearing completion that we’re super excited about. Let’s dive in with a quick recap of June.
What’s New
We’ve got a couple of new releases since our last update. Here’s a quick overview of what we’ve released in the past month.
The Adventurer’s Table
The product of our last successfully funded kickstarter, The Adventurer’s Table is a compilation of 25 one-shot adventures that can be used in any fantasy TTRPG. It’s available in digital format, with an expected print release later this month. Get it on DriveThruRPG.
Tables & Lore #1
Tables and Lore is an ongoing series where we’ll be compiling the various tables and bits of lore we post on social media and elsewhere into a convenient supplement. The very first one of these is now available in digital format, with a print version in the works for later this month. It’s available on, you guessed it, DriveThruRPG.
Random NPCs V2
While not technically live yet, we’ll be releasing this in the next few days so we’ve included it here. This new version of our random NPC generator app includes a big rework of how we generate our NPCs, leading to much more cohesive characters. It’s currently available on IOS devices.
What's Coming
A quick peak at the project we're working on this month.
A Journey Most Foul
Our mobile version of A Journey Most Foul continues along. Last month, we wrapped up the final bits of functionality, so from here on, it’s mainly bug testing and balancing. We’ve got a few more pieces of art in the works, but should be completely done with this sooner rather than later. Look out for the release towards the end of the month on mobile devices, with a potential steam release if it does well.
Unnamed Setting
Our unnamed setting work continues, we’re getting close to the official reveal. Some of our other projects took time from here, so we weren’t able to get to the Kickstarter in August as initially planned. That said, we still do plan to do a kickstarter, but it likely won’t be ready until October. Stay tuned for more details on that.
D50 Dungeon Rooms
A shorter supplement that we’ve been slowly working on in the background, D50 Dungeon Rooms, will release sometime this month. Keep an eye out for that, likely only in digital format.
Random NPCs
With our core release for the V2 happening early this month, we also wanted to spend some time adding additional result options to our randomly generated NPCs. Throughout the month, we’ll be adding dozens of new values for nearly every generated piece of the characters including new history, personality, names, professions, and more. The goal is to provide even more results for NPCs to help make sure each one feels distinct.
Dungeon Maker
An app we’ve had in our backlog for a while, this month we’re planning to work through our Dungeon making app and getting it close to a launch. We don’t think it will be completely ready by the end of September, but we’ll be providing more details on when we anticipate it to be live later this month. We plan to release it as a standalone app, as well as offer a web version and potential integration into our WorldsCrafter application.
The Marquis Of the Borderlands
Last, but not least, we have our borderlands supplement that we’ve been quietly adding to. With a number of our larger supplements out of the way, we have a bit more time to finish up this one. We are shooting for a September release, but being this is our lowest priority item, it may get pushed into October.
And that’s all for now. Make sure to follow us on social media to keep up to date with our work. See you next month!
