State Of The Studio November 2025
November 2025
Welcome back to another State of the Studio post, where we review all the happenings and what we’re currently working on. Our last update was in September, so we have a couple of months’ worth of work to go over. Let’s jump right in!
What’s New
We’ve released quite a bit since our last update. Here’s a quick look at what’s new from the Mellow Golem Games team.
100 Extraordinary Events
Our first supplement on the list, 100 Extraordinary Events, is a list detailing quirky and fantastical events to place into your fantasy games. It’s meant to be a bit wacky, so it might take a bit of thought to fit them into your worlds. On the other hand, they can be a great way to add something unique and unexpected; there’s no shortage of that here. Get it on DriveThruRPG.
50 Dungeon Backstories & 50 Dungeon Rooms
Technically two supplements, we’re combining them here just for brevity's sake. Each one contains exactly what you’d expect from the name. Dungeon Rooms contains short descriptions of drop-in dungeon rooms ranging from puzzles to combat encounters. Dungeon Backstories provides a short, one-paragraph description of a dungeon, perfect for building from. Dungeon backstories also includes an awesome, full-color piece of cover art!
Both are available on DriveThruRPG, 50 Dungeon Rooms here, and 50 Dungeon Backstories here.
Random NPCs
Just a quick update on this one, we’ve begun adding more options to nearly every category of our random NPC generator. We release a big batch of old English names, as well as a number of new descriptions. We’re continuing this effort into the new year, so expect to see hundreds of new options in the coming months.
Tables & Lore #2
Lastly, we have our second edition of our tables and lore series. For those that missed the first one, these are short zine style supplements that contain half random tables and half lore drops. You can check out on DriveThruRPG.
What's Coming
A quick peak at the project we're working on this month.
D100 City Events (Pending Name)
We just wrapped writing and editing on our next mini supplement that will have 100 city events. These are meant to be more grounded, mundane descriptions meant to add depth to your worlds without necessarily being related to a plot hook or larger story. Just simple things to add character and detail. We’re planning to have this out within the next couple of days.
Unnamed Setting
We’ve teased it a bit, and dropped some art on social media, as work continues on our unnamed setting and adventure. We don’t have a ton of details to share yet, but we’re nearing the next phase of the project. Be on the lookout for that, as well as details on how you can get a discounted copy during the upcoming Kickstarter.
A Journey Most Foul
It’s been a long time coming, but the mobile version of our TTRPG is nearly done. We’ve wrapped up testing and balancing, which means we are dev complete! The only thing outstanding is some music tracks which are being polished up. Once those are done, we’ll be focused only on getting the game out the door. We’re hoping for a mobile release later this month, and, depending on how that goes, we might also do a Steam release.
And that’s all for now. Make sure to follow us on social media to keep up to date with our work. We’re probably not going to release an update for December, but we will do a look ahead to our 2026. Be on the lookout for that as we approach the new year.
